I did this experiment during my internship at Camalot, a rental studio in Amsterdam. Shutter angle is set to 180º, 90º, 45º and 11.2º. On 180º you can clearly see the image sensor (green), and on the other half the mirror that reflects the optical viewfinder (grey). As the shutter angle tightens you see the rotary disc increase, almost fully covering the sensor.
